I type BMW: 11877 cars for sale in Japan right now...
Then I check the "Manual transmisson" ticker box: 483 cars... Not mentioning the cars with flappy paddles that are considered as "manual" by their owners...
Come on Japan! You used to be a very car oriented country! What happened to you??

Most of the cars here in NZ are direct imports from Japan. Finding a manual car is VERY hard unless its something like an Evo. Tried to find a manual H6 Legacy a while ago and found a total of one, which got sold the same day it went on sale.

Well, I'm mostly looking into sports cars and older cars in general, so it's slightly easier for me... But yes, if you are looking for something quite recent, that is not a sports car... damn, good luck. Kind of terrible really :(

I still find the ratio mildly depressing, though I know it wouldn't be as bad for most non-luxury brands.

Much worse here in Japan...
Out of all cars for sale on goo-net.com:
AT: 306596 cars for sale
MT: 31288 cars for sale
That's 9.26% of manual cars on average in Japan... Sad really... :(

Real ones are expensive and it's just the start... You can find 2000gt to GTR specs conversion for 3 times less though

Which puts it in my £60k/$110k budget. :-)
I was eyeing up a nearly new skyline but I'd have this any day.
